Suru Valley Kargil,

The road is hard topped till Damsna Village 60 Kms, The road snakes along the majestic Suru River. and popular destinations along the way are the famous BLACK RIVER of Umba Valley which is itself a beautiful meadow laden valley, the ancient Giant Lord Budha Chamba of Kartsey Khar.
The meadow plains of Damsna, where you can have breathtaking views of the world famous Nun and Kun Mountains which owing to its height (7135) mts and almost pyramidal shape and 90 percent snow coverage is a real giant. The mountain is the highest in Jammu and Kashmir.

The valley culminates at parkachik where you shall find the remnants of the Last Great Ice age overlapping the road as the Giant parkachik Glaciers touches the valley below. The cracking sounds of the glacier moving is enough to give you goosebumps. You can even try walking over those glaciers which were founded thousands of years ago.

The valley has a distinct  and pristine Landscape owing to heavy snowfall and humid conditions which render the mountains plush green with meadows and vegetation of different kinds.The over huge granite mountains also adds to the glory of  suru valley as the valley sits in the middle of the Karakoram ranges, Zanskar Ranges and the Ladakh ranges
